A Club in Baltimore, Monday Night

Between snake cults, dragons, and now singing fish going evil for a lack of participation trophies, it had been awhile since Verity and Liam had had anything resembling a real date. So Verity had skipped out on her shift at the Devil's Nest and headed out to the mainland with him, dressed to kill (both literally and metaphorically), and looking for a good time.

The club they'd ended up at was a lot smaller and quieter, one where they could have dinner the second floor up and actually hear themselves talk. "Oooh, good call," she said as they were led to their table. "Dinner and dancing. It's like you know how to show me a good time."

Are you sure Liam wasn't the polite one, generously letting her be the one to put the condom on?

That her taking charge of that meant he was free to continue kissing every inch of her skin that was within reach of his mouth while she did so was just a bonus, really.

They were just polite together, which was absolutely a real thing that multiple people thought, yup.

And Verity didn't have to drag the process out for as long as she did, but you know. It was important the condom was seated correctly and that everything was just so. All of which was assured by copious amounts of touching and stroking.

If Liam just happened to end up making noise while she prepped him, that was clearly just a happy coincidence.

The noises in question that Liam was making were anything but polite. Enthusiastic, yes. But polite? Not so much.

Good. This wasn't the time or the place for polite. But enthusiasm? Oh yes, this was definitely both the time and place for that.

"You ready?" she teased, like she hadn't been drawing out groans and gasps out of him for the last few minutes.

"What do you think?" Liam teased back, huffing out a breathy laugh as he did so.

"I think you should prove it," Verity said, leaning in for another kiss. "And take me," she added, lips grazing over his.

Well, with an invitation like that, who was he to refuse?

Which was circling right on back to the 'polite' thing, wasn't it?

Liam deepened the kiss as he brought their hips together, lowering himself in to her.

Verity sighed his name as he entered her, fingers pressing into his back and her legs coming up to wrap around him.

"This might be my favorite dance of all," she moaned.

"Mmm," Liam hummed in agreement. "M'glad you picked me as your partner."

"That was mostly the mistletoe," Verity said, laughing a bit until he shifted back into her and she was groaning instead.

God, but he loved that laugh. And the feeling of being inside her. And... everything about this moment, really.

"Could've just- just kissed me on the cheek," he said, tilting his head slightly to kiss hers, "and left it at that."

"Where's the fun in that?" she asked, arching under him to feel him slide deeper. "Much better to kiss you once and make you--" She whimpered. "Mine."

"Yours," he agreed. And now it was his turn to fumble for one of her hands as they continued to move together in this particular dance.
