Well, the Wasteland in general definitely warranted literal dirty feelings.
He stepped into the elevator and waited for the others to follow suit before he pressed the 'down' button.
"Going down," announced a vaguely female mechanical voice as the elevator did just that.
"And it works," Liam added somewhat unnecessarily.
